DESCRIPTION:Mt. St. Helens is a great introduction to mountaineering a
 nd a great way to get in shape for the rest of the season. The 2009 cl
 imb was a great success, we had good weather, everyone made it to the 
 top, and all got back safe. It's a mothers day weekend tradition for m
 ales and females to wear dresses (optional) while climbing (over your 
 other clothes). This is a long day climb with almost 5000ft of elevati
 on gain and a good climb to do if your thinking of larger mountains li
 ke Mt. Rainier. It takes most people 5-8hrs to climb to the crater rim
  and back.  FitClimb cannot guide and is not accountable for safety,
