Big 4 ice cave ice chunk breaking

Here's a photo my good friend Steve Baren took of a chunk of ice breaking off one of the big four ice caves. About 5 minutes before a parent was letting thier kid play under it till we yelled at them to get out. This started with a very loud pop and then shook the ground on impact. Multiple people have died from falling ice and avalanches here.
