Started training from jan this year. Had been going to gym previously but regarded myself as'fitness lightweight' since I didn't really push myself. I was probably at least half a stone over weight and middle age belly was creeping in! Been on a mission to up fitness level since invited to climb Mont Blanc this August. I managed to do the three welsh peaks a few weeks ago and it hurt! Now have 10 weeks to go and need a push. I'm doing the goutier route up Mont Blanc and looking at the pics makes me nervous. Any advice from a mere mortal rather than fitness freak would be good!
