- Started rock climbing in the early 80s, graduated to alpine climbing & mountaineering in the late 80s. Climbed Mt Cook in NZ, Shishapangma (Central Summit) & attempted Everest without O2, reaching 8300m on the North Ridge. Getting back into the game now after a long break. 2015 Climbed Rainier via the DC
