Short Bio, outdoor experience, or Share something with the group.: I have always loved the outdoors, but did not grow up in a family of outdoor enthusiasts. Knowing that I was born in Alaska, but not having grown up there, I have always felt that my life away from the wilderness was lacking. I have grown even fonder of both hiking and camping as I have gotten older and made conscious efforts to incorporating both into my life...something many of my friends and family members can't believe! I don't mind sleeping outdoors under the stars, with only a sleeping bag, and I love long hikes! I am planning a short 2-day backpacking trip in May, and my first multi-night trip (in Alaska) for the summer of 2016.
